FAQ

Product Questions

Common questions about our carbon black range.

What is the difference between N330, N550, and N660?
N330 is a high-abrasion furnace black with fine particle size (28 nm), providing excellent reinforcement for tire treads. N550 is a general-purpose grade (50 nm) with good processability. N660 is a semi-reinforcing grade (70 nm) with easier dispersion but lower reinforcement.
Can carbon black provide electrical conductivity?
Yes. Certain grades of carbon black, particularly those with high structure and surface area, can create conductive pathways in polymers. We offer specialty conductive grades for anti-static, EMI shielding, and conductive applications.
How does carbon black protect against UV?
Carbon black is one of the most effective UV stabilizers available. It absorbs UV radiation across the entire spectrum and converts it to harmless heat, preventing polymer degradation and extending product life outdoors.
What packaging options are available?
Standard packaging includes 20 kg multi-wall paper bags, 500 kg jumbo bags, and bulk options. Special packaging can be arranged for specific requirements.
