C.I. 378 | CAS No. 40470-68-6 | Superior whiteness for PVC applications

Optical Brightener FP-127 Powder
Also Known As

Fluorescent Brightener FP-127

Optical Brightener FP-127 (also called CBS-127, Uvitex FP, Hostalux FP-127) is specifically designed for white PVC products. While OB-1 offers better weather resistance, FP-127 provides superior whiteness, making it the preferred choice for PVC foam boards, sheets, pipes, profiles, and cast films.

FAQ

Product Questions

Common questions about our optical brighteners OB-1 and FP-127

What is the difference between OB-1 and FP-127?
OB-1 (C.I. 393) has the highest melting point (357-359°C) and better weather resistance, making it ideal for high-temperature processing and outdoor applications. FP-127 (C.I. 378) provides superior whiteness and is specifically designed for white PVC products. Choose OB-1 for general plastics and polyester; choose FP-127 for maximum whiteness in PVC applications.
Which grade should I use for PVC products?
For white PVC products like foam boards, sheets, pipes, and profiles, we recommend FP-127 for superior whiteness. However, if your PVC product requires outdoor use or needs better weather resistance, OB-1 would be the better choice despite slightly lower whiteness.
What is the recommended dosage for plastics?
For transparent plastics, use 0.0001%-0.001%. For white plastics, use 0.05%-0.1%. The standard recommendation is 200-500g per 1000kg of material. However, we strongly recommend testing samples to determine the optimal dosage for your specific application.
Can OB-1 be used for recycled PET?
Yes, OB-1 is excellent for recycled PET applications. Its high heat stability (357-359°C melting point) makes it perfect for the high-temperature processing required for recycled PET. It's widely used in Korea, Pakistan, and other markets for recycled PET enhancement.
What packaging options are available?
Both OB-1 and FP-127 are available in 10kg and 25kg fiber drums. We offer palletized shipping with 450kg, 500kg, or 675kg per pallet for efficient bulk transportation.
Do you provide samples for testing?
Yes, we provide samples for testing before bulk orders. This allows you to determine the optimal dosage and achieve your desired whitening effect. Contact us via WhatsApp or email to request samples.
Which markets do you supply to?
We supply globally including East Asia (South Korea), Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia), South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh), Central Asia, West Asia (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey), Europe (Germany, Italy, Russia), Africa (South Africa, Egypt, Algeria), and Americas (USA, Brazil, Mexico, Canada).
