FAQ

Product Questions

Common questions about our titanium dioxide range.

What is the difference between rutile and anatase TiO₂?
Rutile has a higher refractive index (2.71 vs 2.55), better UV resistance, and superior weatherability, making it ideal for exterior applications. Anatase is softer, has higher brightness, and is preferred for paper, cosmetics, and indoor applications.
Which grade should I use for exterior paints?
For exterior paints and coatings, we recommend rutile grades (R-902 or R-900) due to their superior UV resistance and weatherability. The surface treatment (Al₂O₃ + ZrO₂) provides excellent durability against chalking and fading.
Is your titanium dioxide food-grade?
Yes, we offer specific grades that comply with FDA and EU regulations for food-contact applications. Please specify your compliance requirements in your enquiry.
What packaging options are available?
Standard packaging includes 25 kg bags and 500 kg/1000 kg jumbo bags. Special packaging can be arranged for specific requirements.
